A Day at the Zoo
It’s a beautiful day in the windy city. Sunny, with a moderate, cool breeze that feels so refreshing and invigorating. Diana, Jona, and I spent the afternoon at Lincoln Park Zoo (a lovely way to spend the Sabbath, by the way). I went along with them, thinking I’d pay an entry fee, and was delighted to find that it’s free!

Job Search: Asian Grill Buffet
Even though I figured it is family-run and thus that they only hire family, I also figured it was worth a shot since I was in the area anyway.
Me: (to waitress) Hi, actually I'm not eating today. I was wondering, are you guys hiring right now?
Waitress: (glazed eyes, nods) Uh-huh. Booth or table?
Me: Oh, I'm sorry. I'm not eating, I was wondering if --
Manager: (on the phone, looks towards me, signals to inquire to him)
Me: Are you hiring anyone?
Manager: (Smiling, shakes head almost amusedly) No, no.
